Baby & You Clinic, Wahroonga
Having a baby is an exciting and life-changing experience, but we know it can also come with a lot of questions and challenges. Whether you're a first-time parent or adding to your family, we’re here to support you whenever you need it, no matter what stage you’re at.
We’re thrilled to be able to offer baby & you one-on-one appointments at Sydney North Women’s Health Clinic supporting baby & you from your late antenatal period and beyond.
What can we help you with ?
Antenatal appointments
As you near the final weeks of pregnancy, around 32 to 34 weeks, this is an ideal time to discuss any questions or concerns you may have about the postpartum period and transitioning to life with a new baby.
We’ll focus on what matters most to you, whether it’s:
PREPARATION FOR BREASTFEEDING AND OR BOTTLE FEEDING
Caring for each other in the postnatal period
What to expect from your newborn in the early weeks
Your emotional health
Our goal is to be there for you as you step into this exciting (and sometimes challenging) new chapter.
Building a trusting relationship with a healthcare professional before the baby arrives is really important, as it helps you to feel comfortable and supported, making it much easier to reach out for help when you need it most.
Knowing what to expect after your little one arrives can also help take away some of the worries and stress that come with this big life change. Plus, we’ll talk about helpful resources, support systems, and tips to make sure you’re feeling ready and confident for what’s ahead.
Postnatal Appointments
You can see us anytime after your baby is born, whether you're looking for reassurance, need advice, or just want someone to talk to. Our postnatal appointments are designed to support (baby & you) both you and your baby as you navigate the early days and beyond.
We offer education and support in a variety of areas, including:
LACTATION SUPPORT
We’re here to support and guide you through the early days of breastfeeding with latch difficulties, supply questions, feeding cues, expressing and much more.
BOTTLE FEEDING
If bottle feeding is the way you’ve chosen, we can guide you through the best techniques to make feeding as smooth as possible.
The 4th Trimester
We offer support on understanding your newborn’s behaviour, sleep patterns, and how to take care of both your baby and your own physical and mental health.
Sleep & Settling
Struggling with sleep? We can provide you with education and guidance to help your little one sleep better and build healthy sleep habits.
